We live in era of constant seeking infromation. No matter what you have at hand - it’s always about THE NEXT thing, next book, next mentor, next course, next podcast.
More, more and more.
What you have at your disposal is never enough. You’re constantly sliding on the surface but actually nothing makes a real difference. That’s because:
Whatever you consume, you deny to practice.
So I say: Let’s bring back ⊙C O N T E M P L A T I O N ⊙ to the game!
Imagine, what if reading one book for 6 months became something honorable?
Instead of just speeding through the next self development chapters, you treated them as a manual.
Just as it would be instruction how to operate the fridge. You don’t read the 200 pages about the cooling systems and whatnots for fun - you go back to it, when you need some guidance of how to proceed in real life.
Sooo what if you started thinking about all the personal development resources as instructions? With the possibility that every chapter, could take you on literal adventure of your own life - showing you how to experiment with your reality.
Remembering that:
Consuming information is only MEANS to an end, not the final destination
(End being: you want to improve your life in some aspect)
What if next book/podcast/course is something you stay with for the week, month or even a year?
Let it sink in. Let it drive your curiosity. To question: how you live? What do you believe? Or where you want to go?
Just pause, slow down, ponder a bit. Let the wisdom ripple form the mind to your reality.
One quote can be a total paradigm shift, if you only give it time
AND Let’s make ⊙ C O N T E M P L A T I O N ⊙ cool again!
